Random notes to things around me, just for fun:
Dear Body: Ovulation on CD14? Really? After months of CD16, 17, and 18? And excruciating ovulation pain all night long? Damn, that’s mean. But, we timed it well, so we’ll see! In the meantime, I know you’re feeling sore from that run the other day, but just FYI … there’s another one soon in your future. And some rowing, bike riding, and lots of walking during our month off. Hugs ‘n kisses, TTC Writer.
Dear Calendar: You are filling up nicely! Between lunches and dinners downtown, a conference next, holiday parties, an HR thingy with the new place, and car appointments, I am going to be out of the house quite a bit. When will I find time to cook my crock-pot dinners (and for any readers … um, any recipe recommendations?)? Love ya, TTC Writer.
Dear Cousin-in-Law: Congrats on your engagement! But as my husband noted, we’ll now have to attend a wedding on his side of the family. My response was that it was time to break out the holy water. We then made plans to remind you that we didn’t sit you with your parents during our wedding reception. Please remember to return the favor! Congrats again, TTC Writer.
Dear Current Job: Nice to hear that you had started to develop plans to push me out so that your old editor could come back. It’s not that you hated my work, no, because the quality was fine: the fact that you couldn’t call me at midnight to edit something is what really drove you over the edge. The only reason you got angry at me when I gave notice was because I’m leaving on my terms. Hah! Have fun tanking, TTC Writer.
Dear Weekend: Please get here soon!
