You know what I’ve been terrible with, dear readers?
Birth control. I can’t remember to take it.
Which, by the way, isn’t a cutesy way to begin an announcement. I know enough about my body to know not when to do the deed. And frankly, sleep takes priority over sex at the moment for the both of us. So don’t worry — Dubya is not getting a sibling and I’m not being an insensitive ass (for once!).
No, what I found interesting was that, after ovulating nearly two weeks ago, I started spotting. When I counted up the days, I spotted on … are you ready for this? … 10DPO.
My body is like clockwork, people. Doesn’t conceive easily, but it likes a schedule.
I told my husband this and said I wanted to take Pregnitude to see if that stopped the spotting. It’s more of a science experiment than anything—were we just lucky, or did the Pregnitude have a hand in stopping my spotting (it was delayed the first month I took it; Dubya was conceived in month two)? Would taking Pregnitude again stop the spotting, or did the vitamins my doc prescribe in combo have a hand (I am not buying those just yet — those will only come into play if we’re interested in Dubya’s sibling, which is not a foregone conclusion at this point)?
I’m really only interested in the spotting issue. I was convinced that it was the single thing leading to our difficulties in TTC; as soon as the spotting was stopped, I conceived and had a healthy pregnancy (well, up until the end, that is). The quack scientist in me really wants to test this out.
The question, though: will I really shell out $40 a month for Pregnitude when I could use that money to buy Dubya cute clothes?
